On Wednesday, 15th of February 2006, at 8pm, a literary reading with British author Toby Litt took place.

Toby Litt, born in 1968, in Bedforshire, England. He graduated from creative writing at the University of East Anglia where he was taught by Malcolm Bradbury. He is the author of two collections of short stories and five novels. At the beginning of the millenium he was a member of the literary movement composed of 15 authors who called themselves »the new puritans« and proceeded against »the dinosaurs of contemporary literature«, but later he renounced their manifesto. His latest novel Ghost Story (2004) is an honest and intensive story of love, intimacy, pain and mourning. In 2003 Toby Litt was nominated by Granta magazine as one of the 20 'Best of Young British Novelists'. In the anthology The Beginning of Something Big (Začetek nečesa velikega, Beletrina, 2004) translated to Slovenian laguage he presents himself with the short story The Hare (Zajec).

The discussion was moderated by Marko Samec.
