PRESS CONFERENCE

On Tuesday, 27 June 2017, the MMC KIBLA hosted a press conference about the upcoming exhibition entitled CONSCIOUSNESS by Australian artist Patricia Piccinini. The opening of the art show will take place on Thursday, 29 June 2107, at 7 p. m., in KIBLA PORTAL (Valvasorjeva Street 40, Maribor).

Representatives of the media and other interested parties were introduced to Piccinini's art
by the curator of the exhibition Peter Tomaž Dobrila. Patricia Piccinini, visiting Slovenia for the first time, presents all areas of her artistic endeavors (drawings, paintings, sculptures, objects, installations, video art, and digital prints), through her ambivalent attitude towards technology and artistic practice as a forum for discussion about how technology impacts upon life. She is keenly interested especially in how contemporary ideas of nature, the natural and the artificial are changing our society.
