Poetry evening and a student party - ladies night

Tuesday 10/03/2009 at 9 pm, MMC Kibla, Kibar to a poetry evening, followed by a student party particularly intended for girls - ladies night. The evening opened with a presentation of poems by by Aleš Kerže and a young poet, writing under a nickname Princeza na motorju (Princess on a Motorbike). The poetry reading was followed by a party featuring house music, a video screening and the lowest prices of drinks in town.

PrinceZa na Motorju
Early poetry of the Princess on a Motorbike begins very simply: with a motorbike, a potato village and the self-proclaimed Princess. Her poetry collection, not such in a conventional sense, currently comprises 25 songs, its volume increasing proportionally to inspiration. The Princess' poetry consists of blue zebras in magical nights, of escalators leading to strange worlds where hours have no say, of twists of love and self-sufficient 'porn divas' all the way to weird people with pythons and miserable people that never buy you a beer. A poet will be unveiling in front of you, whose songs own the talent for poetry, a castle, a box of happy people and - naturally - a motorbike, and reveals that everyone of us is a bit of an extraterrestrial.

Aleš Kerže
The poems of Aleš Kerže exceed everyday motives with inventive metaphorics, partly leaning on mythology, symbols or even dreams and fairytales. His subjects span from the cruelty, brutality and banality of everyday life to reflective, philosophical poetry, striving for the clarity of mind. Aleš Kerže is a young poet, still searching for his genuine expression. The collection of poems that is slowly deriving from under his fingers will be organised in cycles, making space fot the characters of Kerže's personal mythology.
