Meeting of European architecture students within NEPTUNE project

On Friday 14/03/2008 between 2 and 5 pm a meeting of European architecture students participating in the international NEPTUNE project  took place in MMC Kibla.

Between 08/03 and 15/03/2008, the Faculty of Civil Engineering hosted students from Finland, the Netherlands and Switzerland within the Neptune project. Together with their lecturers they participate in Neptune project, this year focusing on preparations for 2012, when Maribor will hold the title of the European Capital of Culture.

They presented their solutions of how to restructure the central part of Drava Centre area (between Nasipna street and the railway, the so-called railway triangle area), which were being made the week before by six groups, each comprising students from all participating universities. Solutions were evaluated by a jury, consisting of three members and led by the city architect Stojan Skalicky.

The meeting has been organized by the Faculty of civil engineering.
