The topic of discussion On terminological mess was the vocabulary that is used to put today's art into words. The speakers confronted their views, experience and achievements within the field of discussion. It seems not sufficient attention is paid to establishing, inventing, completing, analysing, placing and displacing new terms, detailed definitions of use and continuous treatment of acquisitions for and findings in terminological archives. While ideas and forms in art are multiplied each moment, the short-term usage of concepts defining terms in art is reflected in a hypnotic state of non-critical reception of new implications of meaning within terms. What is the condition of expert terms that are available in Slovenian language? Is the vocabulary resonating with today's and yesterday's artistic forms? To what extent are terms the tools for art conception, production and interpretation? Who are the main (authorized) actors - (field) experts, artists, curators, critics, theoreticians, officials? Which terms are used to interpret contemporary art and artistic practice? What is the role of art institutions and their discursive apparatus that they use in exhibitions, catalogues, research?

The Art reflection »On« curator project focuses on the reflection and research of topical issues and themes, contained and addresses by contemporary art. Promoting and keeping track of artistic production, establishing meaningful, systemic and sociopolitical contexts, verifying possible interpretation models, seeking and creating new media and environments for distribution, transfer and circulation of information, openin up spaces in which art is happening, as well as analysis of individual artisti terms and concepts are issues to be included in the Art reflection »On«. By establishing the conditions and options for each event to be open(experimental), the way for an interdisciplinary approach of discussion and realization is being paved; individual situations as well as the integral project will be made up of artistic and discursive presence.
