On 16 April, Pecha Kucha day – Inspire Japan was held around the world. The cities that are part of Pecha Kucha family, now more than 400 of them, organised Pecha Kucha evenings one after the other. The global Pecha Kucha day is also joined by Maribor. On this day, the third Pecha Kucha evening was held in KIBLA Multimedia Centre at 8 pm. To see the lineup for the event, visit the webpage:

Japan was recently struck by a devastating earthquake followed by disastrous tsunamis and then a nuclear power plant crisis that still continues. The number of victims has reached far more than 10 000, and another 10 000 are missing. Among those responding to the catastrophe was also the Pecha Kucha organisation, whose headquarters are in Tokyo. Pecha Kucha evenings will thus be organised around the world, with proceedings collected via tickets and donors going to the Architecture for Humanity organisation to help restore Japan. The organisers have also set up a mini webpage where direct transmissions will be shown live from various cities around the world.
