Autumn afternoon school of Slovene language

MMC Kibla - Autumn afternoon school of Slovene language  on Thursday 20th november 2008 at 5 pm.

Autumn school of Slovene language is a project that has been focusing for five years on contemporary theoretic and linguistic findings, at the same trying to present the practical and living use of Slovene language through a diverse cultural and artistic programme, which helps the participants in everyday communication. The programme is based on the fundamental speciality of Slovene language, the dual number, which has always been in the centre of attention. Following the developments and trends in the field fo Slovene language, the project emphasises equally the integration between language, literature and culture, stressing the dynamics of the Slovene language and the hidden options it provides.

The school programme that was this year limited to one day only consisted of a linguistuc lecture by the professor of Slovene language and political scientist Vanja Jesenek, revealing the basic values and importance of Trubar's creativity for the Slovene language, and a lecture by the young art historian Mojca Štuhec on 16th century art in Slovenia, which was supported by a creative workshop and visual materials.
