MUSICSHUT music video creative workshop

In October Kibla Association for Culture and Education organized MUSICSHUT music video creative workshop in Maribor.

The five day workshop from 6th to 10th October 2008 took place in Communication Information Point - KIT Kibla, Glavni trg 14, Maribor.

MUSICSHUT workshop offers a systematic approach to basic knowledge in designing a music video, from the idea to building the script, creating the shooting script, to direction, the graphic design procedure, adding the sound, music video editing and the final projection plus a concert of a Maribor music band (TAKE OFF).

The workshop was tutored by the exceptionally talented Croatian director Zvonimir Jurič and the film editor Uja Irgolič.

Zvonimir Jurić has studied film and TV direction at Loyla Marymount University, Los Angeles. In 1992 he started studying at the Academy of Drama Art, Zagreb, Department for Film and TV direction. The peak of his creativity in short films is represented by »Sex« (an episode in the omnibus »Sex, droge, rock'n rol«) and Zločin in kazen (Crime and Paunishment). He has also directed the documentary »Nebo pod Osijekom« (The Sky below Osijek) and is famous for his film »I crnci su izdržali, a ja?«.

Uja Irgolič was born in 1972 in Maribor. She graduated from the Academy of Drama Art, Zagreb in film editing. She was a successful manager in Croatia especially as regards documentaries. In 2003 she returned to Slovenia and has since predominantly worked in documentary and feature film editing (Suma Sumarum, Tu pa tam, Modra soba, Denarnica, Across the border, Mariborska dvorišča).
