Tara Kek: It Ends with Sand
Tara Kek: It Ends with Sand 17 March–18 April 2026 artKIT
You are cordially invited to the opening of the solo exhibition It Ends with Sand by artist Tara Kek, which will take place on Tuesday, 17 March 2026, at 6 p.m. at the artKIT exhibition space.
Conceived as a two-part narrative, the exhibition moves from the present toward a possible future through a distinctive emotional experience that unsettles the hourglass of reality. It invites critical reflection on the contemporary social structures and inequalities that shape our lives. Bringing together a world we co-create – often unconsciously yet inevitably – it holds up a mirror to the vulnerability of the individual, the corrosive fractures within systems, and the sense of confinement produced by the pressures of our time and society: its hierarchies, exploitation, exhaustion, fragility, and the tensions that continue to accumulate.
Like dunes inspired by the desert – its endless space, silence, and symbolism of disintegration, dissolution, fading, and a return to primordial elements – the exhibition stands as a warning along the path we walk. What emerges when structures collapse, when systems disappear, and only the sandy trace of human impact remains?
