We kindly invite you to the opening of the exhibition by the designer Polona Poklukar entitled Défilé, which will take place on Friday, 8 October, at 6 p.m. at the artKIT gallery.

ABOUT THE EXHBITION (PDF)

Enjoy a walk amongst the hat creations crafted over the course of the last two years. The selection comprises of two hat series that were made for London’s Hat Week 2019 and for the second repurchase by London’s oldest department store, Fenwick. The latest collection of A/W 2020 hats remains unfinished in terms of creating the projected number of hats, as all collaborations with the United Kingdom were first paralyzed by Brexit and then completely interrupted by the epidemic.

Polona Poklukar (b. 1975, Ljubljana) graduated in fine arts at the Faculty of Education, University of Maribor (2004) and completed her studies in illustration and graphics at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (2001). She creates in the field of design and spatial installations. She has showcased at numerous exhibitions and festivals both at home and abroad. She also collaborates with the Slovene National Theatre Maribor. She designs jewellery, hats and lamps under the brand Polona Poklukar (www.polonapoklukar.com). In 2014, as part of the Month of Design in Ljubljana, she received an award in the field of fashion and product design. She lives and works in Maribor.

Admission is free. You can view the exhibition in accordance with the RVC protocol and the NIPH recommendations.
