MED 2012

A three-day edition of the MED festival is behind us; a festival of electronic and electro-acoustic music in KIBLA that took place during the last February weekend, like it has been for the past five years. A round table discussion was scheduled for the first day, dedicated to the memory of Mario Marzidovšek, which hosted Peter Tomaž Dobrila, Januš Aleš Luznar (Yanoosh), and Gregor Volčanjk (DJ Kozmonavt) and was moderated by Pina Gabrijan.

On Friday the stage was occupied by Iceland composer Jóhann Jóhannsson with his introductory drone set, supported by visuals. It was followed in sound and image support by other three members of the Evil Madness cast, i.e. Petur Eyvindsson, Sigtryggur Berg Sigmarsson and Helgi Thorsson, and wrapped by Ule Nakova.

Saturday took off with an intro by the locally well known DJ Kozmonavt, preparing the dance floor for Berlin legend Stefan Betke, also known as Pole. After this – expectedly top quality – sonic experience, the evening, as well as this year's festival, were brought to an end by Yanoosh.
