Boštjan Perovšek: Turning memory into music
MMC KIBLA, Wednesday, 14 November 2018, 10.30 p.m.
Jutri 2018 / Kiblix 2018

Boštjan Perovšek, a unique, exceptional musician and sound space researcher, whose electroacoustics and computer make up for a real treat for any fan of top-notch sonic experiences – be ready for a new and original experience. Extraordinary.
Boštjan Perovšek is a founder of a new music genre – bioacoustic music, which is based on the sounds of animals, especiallly insects, and has been labelled by biologist dr. Matija Gogala as a kind of an attempt to overcome the gap between science and art: "He composes sequences of natural, mainly animal sounds into a “bio-acoustic composition”, in which individual recordings have the role of instruments and performers in a complex polyphony. The composer often adds other sounds from the everyday life or electronic synthetic sounds to this basic sound structure."
