ACT Autonomous culture center from Čakovec

Back from the summer break, the ACT Autonomous culture center from Čakovec continues with public events, joined under the program.

September 23rd 2011, 7pm – ACT Center Čakovec (Cro)

In its September program, ACT stressed the appearance of Professor Dr. Michael Punt from the University of Plymouth (Great Britain). With a lecture entitled “Between Worlds: Beyond Asimo: Transdisciplinarity and Technology”, Dr.Punt showed how transdisciplinarity can impact the relationships between science, technology and popular culture. A must-see for those working in the field of new media cultures, activism and new technologies.

September 16th 2011, 7pm – ACT Center Čakovec

Dejan Pestotnik, producer and vice-president of Association for Culture and Education KIBLA from Maribor. Dejan gave a presentation of the strategic position of their organization, its position in the European cultural space, and about Maribor as the upcoming 2012 European Capital of Culture. He also presented the possibilities of cooperation with organizations from Croatia.

ACT is a coordinator of the New Media Cross Border project, working as a part of the Cross-border Slovenian-Croatian cooperation.
