Gang Beasts, 2D Broforce and action-adventure game Magicka
Welcome to Saturday afternoon video game playing sessions at the MMC KIBLA. The sessions will take place after 4 p. m. It's all about collaboration and multiplaying. Choose between Gang Beasts (beat 'em up party video game), Broforce (2D run-and-gun game), and Magicka (action-adventure game).
The aim of the sessions is to promote the appreciation of video games as a form of art, and to support less known products by independent developers.
Gang Beasts is a beat 'em up game with surly gelatinous characters thrown together and exposed to various dangers that lurk in the arenas. The goal of the game is to be the last character standing in the arena.
The only way to get rid of your enemies is to throw them off the nearest ledge or into a trap. The game features intense fight sequences, where our character often desperately clings on to anything it can grab.
Broforce is a 2D fast-pace action shooter delivering an unprecedented destruction of the environment. It offers a wide range of characters to choose from, each with its own weapons and a special set of skills.
The playability is very much reminiscent of the cult series Contra, and the goal of the game is to conquer all your enemies and make it to the end. Among others, Broforce was inspired by action movies from the 1980's.
Magicka is an action-adventure game that includes puzzle-solving, defeating swarms of enemies, and also elements of role playing.
The game's specialty is the possibility to combine the so-called magical elements into new elements and effects, so our character can then cast spells. The interaction with the environment is high, while multiplaying mode enables the combination of magic spells among different players.
