OPEN CALL TO CREATORS for 2016/17
Association for culture and education KIBLA is inviting Slovenian creators to submit their works from the fields of interdisciplinary, intermedia, visual arts and music for the season 2016/17.
This open call stands for artists and other creatives, as well as institutions and mediators.
Priority will be given to proposals and artworks dealing with the general topic of modern-day migrations and the continuous social and cultural changes in the 21st century, since most of Kibla's programs will be carried out as part of our international project Risk Change (2016 – 2020), which aims to create, connect, compare, disseminate and promote international contemporary art forms, and contemplate migrations, changes, the emerging, the disappearing, and the remaining. Kibla's interdisciplinary artistic and educational character also focuses on building connections with science, especially social and applied sciences and the research of modern technologies. Collaborations with various target groups will focus especially on the inclusion and integration of new migrants, as well as the already existing multicultural social communities.
Contemporary artworks and programs will be selected and presented during the current year, individually or as part of large-scale group exhibitions and festivals.
