15.01.2016 20:00

Aphra Tesla:
all vocals

Marko Črnčec: piano

Nino Mureškič: percussion

Home and the Zone released in 2013, the debut and so far last album of the Aphra Tesla Operating System in which are in her company Marko Črnčec on piano and Nino Mureškič on percussion. Who else is second ... and third. Aphra is the last few years one of the best vocalists not only in Slovenia, but also beyond. Without exaggeration to say that she is one of those singers, who can sing anywhere in the world. Literally. And with any instrument.
In addition she has a unique voice, is Aphra Tesla in her vocalizing original and unique, however, in interpreting sincere and deep. It is remarkable vitality radiating from each tone, excites, because it is from heart to heart.

If one of the best singers of present is joined by the two best musicians on their instruments, global combination arises, which has with the record Home in the Zone lifted the performing power and opened up new ways of interpretation and extend standards of music production. That it is a real hard-categorial work, which is in its specifics nor equaled neither it looks back, is sufficiently expressed by producer, engineer and composer Dave Darlington: "After 25 years in the music industry, I can honestly say it is rare to find an album so emotionally moving and so beautiful sonically as Home In the Zone by Aphra Tesla. Her unique voice combined with cleverly crafted songwriting makes for a powerful collections of songs. The range and breadth of the material is quite remarkable. Her lyrics are poignant while at the same time humorous, expressing a range of human emotions that we have all shared. Her compositional skill shows an extraordinary depth of technique, but one is never distracted by technique alone. Emotion is always at the forefront. I find "Home In the Zone" one of the finest albums to cross my desk in many years."

Album Home In The Zone
brings 11 songs in English, 10 written by Aphra, one was contributed by Philip J. Burt. It doesn't fall into any section, even if someone sloppily cram it into jazz or defines its genre  as ambient world music, we're at once surprised, when she jumps into still unknown waters and out-mouths spoken poetry and plays with dimensions of her voice range and variety of vocal dynamics, while Nino from the palette of percussion jewelry paints world and Marko dives into the mysteries of black and white keys, in which melodies of our thoughts are creating and drum rhythms of our hearts. Born are clouds, which invite us to step onto them and lead us across  landscapes of life, along the paths of witty and vivid musical creation that breathes from every pore of their musical souls and emotional bodies.

Therefore, it is easy to step into extreme mass of energy, which as a spark skips to the audience and it carries them there, where she wants. And when the top group comes to present one of such music carriers live, these opportunity should not be missed, because otherwise you will not be able to tell anything to your children and grandchildren. Cordially invited.
