artKIT, Glavni trg 14, Maribor
13–26 January 2019
The Croatian Association of Artists (HDLU) is conducting their fourth project as part of the EU Erasmus+ program entitled Artists for Art Education 4, between 1 June 2018 and 31 May 2019. By connecting HDLU to education institutions they wish to encourage students to acquire specific skills and knowledge outside of their formal education path.
The mobility component of this project enables 35 students and 10 teachers from five Croatian applied arts schools to spend 2 weeks as part of a training course under the mentorship of acclaimed (professional) visual artists in Lithuania, Austria and Slovenia.
In Maribor, the participants are trained between 13 and 26 January 2019, in artKIT Gallery, Glavni trg 14. Their works will be presented at an ad hoc exhibition on Friday, 25 January 2019, at 6 p. m.
The training in Maribor is hosting 14 students and 2 teachers from the School of Applied Arts Rijeka (2 participants from the department of sculpture, 5 from the dept. of design) and the Secondary School of Applied Arts and Design Pula (3 participants from the dept. of painting, 3 from the dept. of design, 1 from the dept. of sculpture).
